System2 has collaborated with some internationally-renowned brands to launch a revamped Pro Am golf event, with whisky distillers Tomatin back as headline sponsors.
System2 has worked on the annual event since its inception in 2012 and has helped it grow into one of the richest and most coveted on the PGA in Scotland Tour, attracting teams from home and abroad.
The 2019 competition will see 60 teams, made up of one professional and three amateurs from anywhere in the world, compete over globally-acclaimed championship links courses at Royal Dornoch Golf Club, Castle Stuart Golf Links and The Nairn Golf Club from 30 September to 2 October.
This year, System2 has created a bespoke, eye-catching and engaging Pro Am website to showcase some new and unique aspects of the competition.
We worked closely with Tomatin, the three golf courses and the PGA in Scotland, along with other new sponsors TaylorMade and the Black Isle Brewery and event partners Culloden House and the Kingsmills Hotel, in Inverness, to create and distribute a news release to launch the new-look competition on 31 January. We also devised and executed a social media strategy to promote the Pro Am and its supporters.
A unique selling point for 2019 is that, in addition to the first place cheque, the winning professional will pick up a 50-Year-Old Tomatin single malt which has been bottled exclusively for the event, with an estimated value of £10,000.
Tomatin is also providing bottles of 16-year-old malt for each competitor, while, in addition, first tee gifts include TaylorMade balls and gloves.
Scotland is synonymous with golf and whisky and this renewed partnership between the Pro Am and Tomatin will help elevate the competition to new heights. It is a perfect fit for the distillery brand at home and overseas and System2 is excited to be part of such a prestigious event.
