A two-day indoor rock music festival, to take place in the city of Inverness featuring some of the biggest names in rock and metal, including Dan Reed Network and The Dead Daisies (also featuring former band members from international rock icons Mötley Crüe, Journey, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy), will be held on the 10th/11th of November at the Ironworks.
Mark Allison, Director of Redelk Music, came up with the idea for Monstersfest after observing a number of successful indoor festivals cropping up all over the UK during winter months everywhere except the Scottish Highlands.
He said, “Knowing that this part of the world can sometimes get left out for this kind of event, we decided to set about putting something together.”
Following the announcement of the event through local press and digital media channels, Mark approached local PR and marketing agency, System2, for promotional event support through various traditional and digital marketing channels, including public relations, paid advertising, social media and overall content marketing to generate more interest in the event and ticket sales.
Presently, System2 is running a paid Facebook campaign to encourage interest in the Ironworks event page, creating and curating all social media content being shared both on the Facebook event and festival pages, as well as re-purposing the same content for Twitter and Instagram channels and drafting event press releases, which are due to appear in local publications, such as the BBC, Press and Journal and the Inverness Courier.
Alongside the acts already mentioned, Monstersfest is also featuring Altered Sky, Bloodlines and Beth Blade and the Beautiful Disasters - with the organisers confirming that there are more to follow.
Tickets for the event are £60 and can be purchased from the Ironworks venue online or in person.
