At the moment, Ian Forsyth, Allan Crook and Ross Ferrier from the System2 film crew are in the middle of taking on the Three Peak Challenge to raise funds for Birchwood Highland, a local charity established over 30 years ago to work with people with mental ill-health – supporting them in their journey to recovery. Throughout the years they have maintained their position at the cutting edge of the sector, leading on excellence and advancing innovation. Everyone at System2 is proud to be supporting their noble work in the local community, with this fundraising challenge.
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Mount Snowdon)… all within 24 hours, including travel. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) – twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.
